Road Trip - 2017

June 21st - June 26th, 2017

$200 - $375

This week has the potential to be life changing for everyone who goes. We will have an opportunity to impact people in these different cities and communities as we partner with great local ministries already doing work in these areas. As we serve others, and spend time in worship, teaching, and small group discussions each day, we also believe that God will transform us and we will see and experience Him in new ways! Finally, we are going to have a lot of fun along the way and end the week with new and strengthened friendships. We would love to have you join us for this fantastic opportunity!

Who can come on Road Trip?

Any student finishing 6th-12th grade in the Spring of 2017. We will have at least one trained and background checked adult for every five students.

What will we be doing on Road Trip?

Students will have the opportunity to serve people in different communities and cultures, get outside their comfort zones, and have a ton of fun along the way! We’ll also have worship, teaching, and small group times

When is Road Trip?

June 21 @ 7:00am to June 26 @ 10:00pm

Where will we be going?

We will be spending one night in Pittsburgh, three nights in New York, and one night in Washington DC. We will sleep in churches or community buildings in each city.

Why should I go on Road Trip?

We believe that we are created to serve one another. Also, serving others helps us get to a spot of humility, and when we are humble, we are positioned well to see and experience Jesus for ourselves. We believe that if you come on Road Trip, you’ll have a chance to impact other people, experience Jesus in new ways for yourself, and build and invest in meaningful relationships with other students and leaders.

How much does Road Trip cost?

Early Bird Price: $375 if you register by April 23, 2017; Regular Price: $400 after April 23, 2017. Must pay a non-refundable $200 deposit to reserve your spot and lock in your rate. All additional payments are non-refundable as well.

Student behavior expectations:

We will be spending time in large cities, and serving in a variety of neighborhoods, so it is imperative that students stay with their assigned leaders at all times, and that they are willing and able to quickly follow instructions that come from the adult leaders on the trip. If a student on the trip proves to be unable to follow leadership, and has to be sent home, the cost of getting them home will need to be covered by their parents.

Can students bring cell phones?

Cell phones, iPods, gaming devices, and other personal electronics will not be permitted on Road Trip. We feel this will help eliminate unnecessary distractions, freeing up students to experience Jesus and invest in meaningful relationships.

How can parents stay connected to their students during Road Trip?

All leaders will have their cell phones with them on Road Trip. Parents will receive the cell phone number of their students' leader, as well as a general phone number to reach the Road Trip Director in case of emergency. Students will be able to use their leaders' phone to call home an check in during appropriate free times. We will also set up other ways through texting and social media for parents to receive updates throughout the trip.
